Dingle to Doolin via the Talbert Ferry 180 KM, 3.5 hours
We took the Tarbert Ferry and skipped some driving to get to Doolin. As we made our way along the coast, we were treated to views of beautiful beaches, surf shops, and intimidating-looking links golf courses. These are summer hot spots, with ocean temperatures in the 50s and 60s — bring your wetsuit.

Doolin is a tiny coastal village in County Clare, famous for traditional Irish music and amazing Atlantic coast views. It’s the gateway to the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands, with colorful pubs that feel ancient and friendly.

Our first stop was McDermott's pub. It felt old school and the food was excellent.

Shepard's Pie was delicious

We visited the Cliffs of Moher. It's a must-do if you're anywhere close. The area is set up for tourists with "Gifts of Moher" shops, etc. But the views are epic. Don't touch the electrified fences along the walk, not even just to see if they're on. Really, don't, you eejit!

The Fiddle + Bow ihotel was a great Scandanavian surpirse — it’s posh enough for comfort, yet playful enough to still feel like you’re in on a local secret. Russell's restaurant was a high point.
Side note: I learned that Moldova has a 200 KM long wine cellar while here. Who knew?
